Aeries: Contact Settings to Receive Communications via Parent Square
Verify your phone number is identified as a cell phone number to receive text messages or if you prefer to receive emails at a different email address. View what type of messages the account is currently set to receive. Login to your Aeries Parent Portal Select Student Info from the menu Select Contacts To Receive TEXT messages, be sure the cell phone number is in the Cell field Select the PENCIL to edit/update the contact profile Verify your notification preferences by expanding the More Info menu To receive messages from the school, it should say General and Emergency Messages Most message will be sent as general, even if important Emergency Only is a special message that will notify the contact on every device until contacted. This contact will ONLY receive in the event of a school emergency Do Not Contact will not receive any messages from the notification system "Blank" has not been updated and will not receive messages by default (NOTE: If the contact is "blank" and you wish to update the status, submit a ticket at support.pvpusd.net (ONLY parent/guardian contacts will be flagged to receive messages. This could be student status notices from teachers or administrators, not just general or emergency notices. For general notices for other contacts, join our community group) To update your Email Address, select username (email) in the upper right hand corner Select Change Email and follow the prompts to update your contact email

Course Requests for High School Students Aeries Student Portal 1. Getting Started — Accessing Course Requests in the Aeries Student Portal Log In to your Aeries Student Portal account NOTE: Only student accounts can update course requests. Parent accounts can view requests only From the Welcome page, click on Classes from the left side menu (or search for the page). Select Course Requests Entry 2. Navigating —Course Requests Entry Course recommendations made by your current English, Math, and World Language teachers are listed by subject as the “Primary Request” along with the Social Science course required for the grade level 3. Selecting Courses Search for courses under “Filter Courses”. Type in part of the course title or course number in the “Name or Nbr” box or use the Sbj Area (Subject Area) drop down menu to find the desired course then click SEARCH Select the course from the list by clicking on the title. The course will appear under the Primary Request for that subject. To request a course as an alternate, select “Request Alternate” Most courses are year-long: Year-long courses are indicated with an “A” at the end of the course title (i.e. English 3 H A shown above) Would you like to take a Zero Period Class? Delete the course request that says “No Class 0” Taking a Summer Course? Select the course beginning with a 4 to indicate Summer Want to take a different course than was recommended for you? If you are currently taking English, Math, or Foreign Language, your teacher has recommended the next course you should take. If you wish to take a course that you were not recommended for or do not meet the prerequisite: Delete the course recommendation Add the course you wish to take instead Add the following course title to indicate request for placement: English Request for Placement = Admin E Math Request for Placement = Admin M Science Request for Placement = Admin SC History Request for Placement = Admin SS World Language Request for Placement = Admin WL Fill out a Request for Placement form (available in the Counseling Office) for each applicable subject What now? Counselors will meet individually with each student to review his/her course requests. Refer to your Scheduling Worksheet or Course Recommendation Letter for further instructions.

Aeries: Data Confirmation Guide
Sign in to Aeries Parent Portal to complete Data Confirmation https://palosverdes.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx How to Complete the Annual Data Confirmation Process Log In to Your Aeries Parent Portal After logging in, a pop-up message will prompt you to begin the Data Confirmation process. Click the "Click Here" link in the pop-up window or access it from the menu by selecting Student Info > Data Confirmation. Complete Data Confirmation for Each Student The Data Confirmation process must be completed separately for each student enrolled in PVPUSD. To switch between students, see the instructions in Aeries: Data Confirmation for Multiple Students. Steps to Complete Data Confirmation The process includes 8 tabs. You must complete each one before moving on to the next. A checkmark will replace the step number when it’s finished. Step 1: Family Information Respond to each required questionnaire. Click Confirm and Continue when done. Step 2: Student Review the displayed information. Click Change to update any data. Click Confirm and Continue when done or if no changes are needed. Step 3: Contacts Review contact information. Important: Do not delete or modify existing contact records unless necessary, as this may cause issues with student records. To add a new contact, click Add. To update a contact, click the pencil icon, make changes, and click Save. Click Confirm and Continue when done. Step 4: Medical History Review the listed medical conditions. To remove a condition, click No Longer Applies. To add or update conditions, click the relevant fields, provide details, and click Save. Click Confirm and Continue when done or if no changes are needed. Step 5: Documents Open each document or link (a new tab will open for each). Review all documents. Once all are shaded green with checkmarks, click Confirm and Continue. Step 6: Authorizations Select a response (required) for each authorization Click Save, then Confirm and Continue. Step 7: PEF Review the PEF (Peninsula Education Foundation) information. Click the button/link to review and finalize the PVPUSD registration process. Click Confirm and Continue. Step 8: Final Data Confirmation Review your responses by clicking on any tab if needed. Once ready, click Finish and Submit. The Final Data Confirmation will display "Thank you for confirming the student data in the system" acknowledging completion of Data Confirmation with specific information about/for the school including forms/packs, PTSA, etc.

Aeries: Data Confirmation for Multiple Students
Sign in to Aeries Parent Portal to complete Data Confirmation https://palosverdes.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx The Data Confirmation process must be completed separately for each student enrolled in PVPUSD. When logged-in to the Aeries Parent Portal, click on the student’s name card on the home page, or click on the down-pointing arrow in the header to see your list of students and click their profile/name from the dropdown menu to change students. You will see a notice to complete Data Confirmation for the student. See Aeries: Data Confirmation Guide for instructions to complete Data Confirmation.

Aeries: Data Confirmation Troubleshooting for Parents/Guardians
Welcome to the new school year! When you log into your Aeries Parent Portal (https://palosverdes.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx), you should be prompted to complete your student's Data Confirmation. If this does not automatically pop up, please review the following items: - Are you logging in with your Parent email account, or your Student's email account? Both use the same URL to log in, but they have different levels of access. Student accounts cannot access Data Confirmation or make Contact changes. If you are logging in with your student's email account, please log out and try again with your parent email. If you do not remember your password, you can reset it by clicking here. - Do you see the following message on your Aeries home page? This message will appear if more information/action is needed for your student's enrollment. Please contact enroll@pvpusd.net for your specific next steps. You will not be able to complete Data Confirmation and your access will be restricted until their account has been updated. - If you are logging in with your parent email, you do not have the above error message, and you still cannot access your student's Data Confirmation, please submit a support ticket by clicking here. Your school site technology team will review your account and respond within 1-2 business days. To expedite the process, please include the following verification information in your ticket: Your Full Name, Student's Name, School, Grade level, Birthdate, and Home Address. -Parent put in wrong data? Have the parent log back into the portal and reselect the appropriate option. This does not need to be escalated as they have the ability to edit their own information at any time. THE ONLY thing they cannot do is create a portal account with a different email--that has to be done by the office.

Aeries: Parent Gradebook Alerts
Parent Alerts allow Parents to monitor when their Student’s Grades or Assignment Scores rise or fall below a set level. Additionally, Parents can choose to be notified when a Student Assignment is missing. Sign in to Aeries Parent Portal to setup Gradebook Alerts https://palosverdes.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx The Parent Portal displays a Gradebook Alerts notification widget on the Parent Home page. The Gradebook Alerts widget displays the number of Alerts that have been enabled for the current Student. A link to the Gradebook Alerts page is available at the bottom of the widget. The Gradebook Alerts page can also be accessed in the Parent Portal from the User Settings dropdown menu. Gradebook Alerts for Course Grades and Assignments can be set up for the current Student on the Gradebook Alerts page. The bottom of the Gradebook Alerts page displays the names of the Students associated with the Parent account and who are enrolled in a School or grade level where alerts are enabled. Clicking the Add New Alert button allows the Parent to add a new Gradebook Alert. Course Grade Alerts can be set up to receive a notification when the Course Grade Falls Below or Rises Above a defined mark. Click on Add New Alert next in the Course Grade Alert area. One alert can be set up for the Rise Above or Fall Below option. There are two types of Gradebook Assignment score alerts available for Parents to add: Are Above and Are Below. In the example below the Gradebook assignment score Alert is set for assignment scores that Are Below 75%. An Assignment Is Missing Alert can be enabled by clicking on the On/Off button. Setting Assignment is Missing to On sends an Alert notification when an assignment is marked as Missing for the Student. Once all Gradebook Assignment Alerts have been created, the Add New Alert button is no longer visible on the blue banner for that Alert type. Clicking the Edit button allows the Parent to change or delete an Alert. In the example below the Score Below threshold was edited to alert the Parent if the Student’s assignment mark scored below 75%. When a threshold is met, an email is generated to alert the Parent.

Aeries: Parent Notification Preferences
Parents can subscribe to Weekly Progress Report emails in the Aeries Parent Portal. These emails contain current Attendance and Gradebook information. Sign in to Aeries Parent Portal to setup Parent Notification Preferences https://palosverdes.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx When Parents log into the Portal a Notification prompting them to sign up for Weekly Progress emails appears in the Notifications , if they have not already done so. An option labeled Parent Notification Preferences also displays in the drop-down menu when Parents click on their username in the upper right-hand corner. This allows them to sign up for Weekly Progress Report emails for a preferred day and time and adjust their notification preferences at any time. Each time the User logs into the Portal, there is a reminder of the Date and Time they are set to receive the emails. Aeries: Parent Portal Password Reset
On the Aeries Parent portal login page, select the Forgot Password button, then enter the email address for the account linked to your student. A verification email will be sent to the parent with information on how to proceed with resetting the password. If you need additional assistance with a password reset, please submit a ticket.
